El Kontessa is the stage name of Cairo-based producer, DJ and multidisciplinary artist Fajr Soliman. She experiments with Pop and Mahraganat music elements. In her production and Dj-set, she deconstructs familiar/nostalgic sounds, adds textures, and blends it with Cairo's soundscapes.
