A poem by baraka awolola

He walked through the jungle of tears at dawn,

Where koi flew high and mist was drawn.

Through the misty cliffs where moonlight guides,

He hummed soft prayers to nature as the rabbit hides.

In the burned mountain, where fire kissed rain,

He smiled through smoke, embraced his deeper pain.

He drank from clearwater springs of water once blessed,

And laid his head on a tree root to find rest.

As he awakens, his eyes touch the sun,

His journey has ended, yet a new dawn has begun.
